The Historical Society holds a silent auction in conjunction with Heineman Winery's annual Ohio's Island Wine Festival held in June at the historic Put-in-Bay winery, dating back to 1888. The 2026 event is June 20.
The Ohio Wine Festival features all Ohio wines. Heineman Winery is a charter member of the Ohio Wine Association and produces a variety of wines and grape juice that have won numerous gold medals made from their own grapes as well as those grown by other island vineyards.
Lake Erie Islands Historical Society's silent auction is held in an adjacent tent. This year there are 24 lots to bid on, including a rare Perry's Victory pendant made of silver and a piece of Pink Milford Granite from the memorial column. All proceeds benefit the museum.
