Check out the Museum’s 2026 Events Page for current information on upcoming events.

Sunday, June 7— “Day in the Life of a Lighthouse Keeper” performed by storyteller Brian Ellis at the South Bass Island Lighthouse at 2 pm.

Saturday, June 13-– LEIHS’s Museum is reviving the Founder’s Day “Ox Roast” at the DeRivera Park event celebrating Founder Jose DeRivera, from 11 am to 4 pm or until the food is all sold. Today is also the 110th Anniversary of the opening of Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial.

Sunday, June 14— Pioneer Cemetery Walk at 4 pm. Focus is on Jose DeRivera in tribute to Founder’s Day Weekend.

Saturday, June 20 — LEIHS’s popular Silent Auction will be held at Ohio’s Island Wine Fest, hosted by Heineman Winery. The auction will be located adjacent to the Wine Tent.

Tuesday, June 23 — LEIHS has postponed the “Lake Erie Islands Sunset Cruise” onboard the Miller ferry boat. The lack of interest in the event will be addressed at a future board meeting, and we will hopefully reschedule a similar event with MBL for late August.

Sunday, TBD — LEIHS has postponed the “Welcome Back Potluck & Membership Drive”.  We’ll share information as it is determined.
