The John Fox Family
 North Bass Chapel of The Isle of St. George Church still stands on North Bass Island.
   This large family is connected to most of the early North Bass Island families. The Fox Family (Fuchs) was originally from Baden and immigrated to Ontario, Canada. Brothers Simon and Peter Fox purchased 2/3 of North Bass Island from Horace Kelley and eventually their parents and siblings joined them. They built homesteads, fished and farmed.
